Today, you’ll be met by our Egyptologist tour guide, who will join you in a marvelous day tour from Cairo to visit the highlights of Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean Sea and the second capital of Egypt, as known by the majority of the Egyptian People. In Alexandria we will explore the best-preserved collection of the Roman architecture, visit the ruins of the Roman temples and theatres.
A regular tour to Alexandria usually begins with a visit to the Alexandria Library, one of the highlights of Egypt in general and in Alexandria in a specific way. We will then continue our tour in Alexandria to visit the Catacombs of "Kom El-Shoqafa", a burial site and necropolis consists of a serious of Alexandrian tombs and various statues. Later on, we will be moving to visit the Roman Theatre, located in the modern area of Kom El-Dikka and date back to the second century A-D. It is also one of the highlights of the city.
We will also pass to visit the Greek sites in the city, including Cavafy Museum, One of Alexandria's most famous sons, Constantine Cavafy (1863-1933), was a Greek Alexandrian poet who found fame and recognition for his writing after his death. His flat on what is now Sharm el-Sheikh Street is a tribute to his life and a major attraction for anyone on an Alexandrian literary pilgrimage.
After the tour, we will drive back to Cairo, transfer to your hotel, where our services will be ended.
