Morning time, you’ll be met by our expert, English-speaking tour guide, who will join you in such awe-inspiring tour in Old Cairo area, a part in the Egyptian capital that hosts some of the most interesting Coptic monuments in the country.
We will start our Coptic tour by visiting The Hanging Church, first established in the 5th century and one of the most important historical churches in Egypt. Our next visit in Coptic Cairo will be to the Abu Serga Church, believed to be constructed where the holy family rested at the end of their journey, it was constructed in the 7th century. Our last visit in Coptic Cairo will be to the Church of Saint Mary, an orthodox church, built during the 5th century, restored and rebuilt many times afterwards.
Our second visit of the day will to El Zabaleen area in El Moqattam hills, where we can visit one of the most unique and well-designed monasteries in Egypt, the Saint Samaan the Tanner Monastery. The surrounding area of the monastery is called as El Zabaleen, this is because all people living there are trash collectors, who managed to build their own-style community in that place and start to have small, but awesome, projects for trash recycling.
After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel, where our services will be ended.
